REACHING OUT TO
THE LESS FORTUNATE
Ten years ago, Golden
Hills church opened a mission in downtown Antioch to help feed and
clothe the area’s many low income families. Although the Outreach
Center was an obvious place for church members to serve in the
community, there was no consistent approach for recruiting or
training volunteers. Cameron Design proposed creating a Volunteer
Program to reacquaint the church with the mission, create a job bank
for the volunteer positions that would be a road map for getting
involved, and create a new identity to showcase the new direction.
First quarter results show volunteerism is up by 300%.
